Who cares what Eddie thinks?

For those who haven't heard, the Bombers are renaming the Coventry end at Docklands the "Lloyde" end.... and why not? Eddie may not like it but the fact is no other player has kicked more goals at the ground (I know Riewoldt is catching up fast but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it).
Coventry may be a legend, you can take nothing away from him, but how many goals at Docklands? I don't need to google him to find the answer. Lloyde is a player of relevance to the ground and fully deserves his name on that stand.
It's hard for Collingwood to play the "tradition" card in this matter. Maybe they should hang the Coventry name up at their spiritual home.... Vic Park? They may have trouble finding a grand stand with enough structural integrity to take the weight of the sign. I'm sure the pygmy tribe that now call the tall weed of the former ground home will appreciate the significance.
As for Collingwood's performance against the Dee's yesterday.... well I try to refrain from any cheap shots other than to say, as always, you would have to question the Pies mental toughness. They obviously have the Cattle on the park to challenge this year. It will just be a matter of them switching it on consistently.
